Privacy Policy
Last updated September 6, 2026
This policy describes what Temporitz collects, why, and what you can do about it. ShadeTree.IT LLC is the data controller.
The short version
Temporitz works without an account, and by default your blueprints never leave your browser. If you sign in, they sync to your account so you can reach them from another device. Separately from that, we measure how the site is used through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We run no advertising, we sell nothing to anyone, and we never use your blueprints to train artificial-intelligence models.
Data that stays in your browser
Your blueprints, categories, sleep schedule, peak hours, language preference, and cookie-consent decision are stored in your browser using local storage, and an analytics session identifier is held in session storage until you close the tab. For a signed-out visitor none of your planning data is transmitted to us and we cannot see it. It stays until you clear it or your browser does.
Data tied to an account
If you sign in, Google Firebase Authentication gives us an account identifier, your email address, and, for Google sign-in, your display name and profile picture. We never receive or store a password: sign-in happens through Google or through a one-time email link. Your blueprints are then stored in Google Cloud Firestore so they can sync between your devices. This data is used to operate sync and for nothing else.
Usage analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited, in which language, and which actions people take — for example that a blueprint was created or a link was shared. These events record what happened and the route it happened on; they never include the names, descriptions, or contents of your blueprints. If you are signed in, your account identifier is attached to them, so activity across your devices resolves to one person rather than several.
Session replay
We use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages — clicks, scrolling, and page structure — and lets us replay those sessions to find what is confusing or broken. Clarity masks the contents of form fields by default, including the email address on the sign-in page. Text already rendered on the page, such as a blueprint or category name you have created, may appear in a recording. If you are signed in, your account identifier is attached to the recording, and a session identifier links a Clarity recording to the matching Google Analytics session.
Cookies and your choice
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity both set cookies. If your browser reports a time zone in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, neither one starts until you accept them on the banner, and declining keeps every feature of Temporitz working. Outside those regions both start on page load. You can change your decision at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer: withdrawing consent stops both providers from storing or reading cookies from that point on, but it does not remove cookies already set, which you clear through your browser settings.
Shared blueprint links
When you share a blueprint, the entire blueprint is compressed into the link itself. It is not uploaded to us, and we have no record of it. Anyone holding that link can read the blueprint it contains, and any service the link passes through — a chat app, a mail server, a browser that syncs history — may keep a copy of it, so treat a share link as public.
Why we are allowed to process your data
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on three legal bases. Running your account and syncing your blueprints is necessary to perform the agreement you enter into by using the Service. Keeping the Service secure and working is our legitimate interest, weighed against your rights and freedoms. Analytics and session replay run on your consent, which you give on the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time; withdrawing it does not affect processing that already took place.
Where your data goes
ShadeTree.IT LLC is based in the United States, and so are Google and Microsoft, the providers described above. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your data is therefore transferred outside your country. Google and Microsoft carry out those transfers under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and their certifications under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions; their published terms describe the safeguards each applies.
How long we keep things
Browser-local data lives until you or your browser removes it. Account data lives until you delete the blueprint or ask us to delete your account, and we act on a deletion request within 30 days of verifying it. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity retain data on their own schedules, which their published policies describe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw a consent you have given, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We do not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. Our Data Deletion page explains how to exercise the deletion right; write to us at the address below for the others.
Children
Temporitz is not directed at children under 13, and in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The revised version will appear on this page with a new date above. A change that materially affects how we handle your data will be announced in the product as well.
